The Anxiety Pack 4 Kids is for children aged 7-12 years who suffer from worry and anxiety. It includes a book written by Justine Knott with exercises based on cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and relaxation techniques, along with a guided relaxation based on clinical hypnosis techniques.
Written and designed by psychologist Justine Knott, this resource integrates therapeutic strategies and exercises used in therapeutic psychological sessions with children. Particularly suitable for those children who are unable to access face to face psychology sessions, but can also be used as an additional support for at home use for children already working therapeutically.
Hypnosis is an effective technique to support children with anxiety. It can be used to decrease anxiety through relaxation, positive imagery, and mastery of skills to help the child to help themselves. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) can also be used effectively with children under 12 years of age. Research studies have revealed a 70% greater improvement for patients undergoing an integrated treatment of hypnosis and CBT compared to those using CBT only. The addition of hypnosis to CBT therefore substantially enhanced treatment outcomes in these studies.
